Cody Murray, president and CEO of Raw Talent Inc., was recognized as the 2008 Young Entrepreneur of the Year in Georgia by the U.S. Small Business Administration. Murray also received the SBA regional award in the same category.
Murray received his award May 22 at a luncheon hosted by the Georgia Lenders Quality Circle in Atlanta. He was nominated for the award by the University of Georgia Small Business Development Center in Athens.
Murray and co-owner Corey Bramblett, who is the chief financial officer, started Raw Talent in June 2002 in a bedroom with only a computer and telephone. Raw Talent has grown to 35 full-time employees at its plant in Bethlehem.
Raw Talent received a “Pacesetter” Award in April from the Atlanta Business Chronicle as one of the fastest growing companies in metro Atlanta.
